Use and transmission of your personal data

Data protection

We attach the greatest importance to complying with consumer protection regulations.

1. Personal data

The personal information used to process online quote requests is strictly confidential and will not be communicated to external service providers. This data also makes it possible to establish statistics and to carry out promotional and/or prospecting operations. The Internet user has the right to access, delete, correct and object to the use of their personal data in accordance with the provisions of the “data processing and freedoms” law of 6 January 1978 as amended by law no. 2004-801 of 6 August 2004, a right that can be exercised on application to the administrative department: LES VIGNERONS UNI-MEDOC 14 route de Soulac 33340 Gaillan en Médoc – France Tel. +33 (0)5 56 41 03 12 Email: cave@uni-medoc.com

2. Cookies

The Customer is also informed that LES VIGNERONS UNI-MEDOC automatically collects information relating to the Customer through cookies used to monitor their navigation within the site. A cookie is a small file stored by a server on the user’s terminal (computer, telephone, etc.) and associated with a web domain (i.e. in most cases, all the pages of the same website).  This file is automatically returned on subsequent contact with the same domain. Cookies have multiple uses: they can be used to memorise your customer ID with a merchant site, the current content of your shopping basket, the display language of the web page, an identifier allowing your browsing to be traced for statistical or advertising purposes, etc. There are several types of cookie: “Necessary” internal cookies, allowing information to be saved between two visits to the same website on the same device. They allow the user to save a shopping basket, login credentials or interface customisation. They do not require the user’s consent. “Statistical” cookies, used to track the actions of an Internet user on a website. When the statistics are anonymous (i.e. not allowing identification of a person), the user’s consent is not required. “Internal” or “first-party” cookies are placed by the website consulted. They may be placed in addition to the necessary cookies and may be used to collect personal data, track user behaviour, and for advertising purposes. So-called “third party” cookies are cookies placed by (or for) a site B (often an advertising agency) on a site A: this allows site B to see which pages have been visited on site A by a user and to collect information about that user. The information stored on the terminal is theoretically limited to the domain currently being visited. In practice, this is not only the case for “first-party” cookies placed by the main domain, as the web pages may include content from other domains. Nevertheless, Customers have the right to object to cookies by configuring their computer, according to the procedures detailed on the site: www.cnil.fr. Most browsers automatically accept the installation of cookies unless you have changed the settings. By continuing your visit to the www.unimedoc.com site you agree that cookies will be installed in accordance with our Cookie Policy. The www.unimedoc.com site contains a number of hypertext links to other sites set up with the authorisation of LES VIGNERONS UNI-MEDOC. However, LES VIGNERONS UNI-MEDOC cannot verify the content of such sites and thus cannot accept any liability for them. Refusing to install a cookie may make it impossible to access certain services. We use the following cookies: Google analytics (_ga): This cookie is necessary for the operation of Google Analytics, a website audience analysis service provided by Google. This software measures data relating to Internet users such as the number of visitors to the website or the use made of the site. We use this information to improve site performance. The data stored is anonymous and does not contain any personal details. Data relating to www.unimedoc.com is transmitted to Google and is stored under Google’s responsibility.
