Our values

Cultivating the cooperative spirit

We are a cooperative made up of men and women, not share capital. We put the individual at the very heart of our approach. Our cooperative cellar belongs to our member winegrowers and forms an extension of their properties. The members participate in the life of the cooperative, decide on the strategy and share the profits. Together, we have chosen not to go in search of maximum short-term profit, but rather to add value to everyone’s activity over the long term.

Acting as a
responsible player

Our aim is to cultivate our vineyard and age our wines

while respecting our land, our people and our biodiversity. Our cooperative has 140 members, representing a real strength and a diversity that we pull together on a daily basis: human and social diversity, along with the region and soil that make up our wealth.

Our environmental approach was launched in 1993. Since then, it has evolved. In 2002, our quality policy was implemented in the vineyard. It allows us to look beyond our wines and to put concrete actions in place to preserve our land and act as a responsible player. These steps have enabled us to obtain the Agri Confiance label, which guarantees transparency, quality, strengthening the link between winegrowers and the region, and respect for the environment and biodiversity.

Cooperation, SSE and CSR

The members of Les Vignerons d’Uni-Médoc have common interests. We plan, negotiate and share resources to achieve our common goal while retaining our individual character. Cooperation is one of the levers of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and in particular allows us to create and develop socially responsible partnerships in the Médoc.

Likewise, our cooperative cellar incorporates social, environmental and economic concerns into its operations. We are therefore careful to measure our impact on society in general and on our region in particular.

Producing wines that are a pleasure to drink

Beyond its association with fine wines, the Médoc is a region of character: wild, varied and indomitable. It is full of richness much more precious than those hidden behind the magnificent façades of Médoc châteaux. With the ocean, marshes and the estuary, the Médoc has a rich heritage and environmental diversity, giving it a raw and authentic character. Today we are proud to have been able to tame it, to produce characterful wines as varied as our members. Our biggest reward? Knowing that our wines are found on your table, to be enjoyed around a moment of pleasure and sharing.

Maintaining a local presence and friendliness

Since nothing gives us greater pleasure than sharing our passion, we want to keep our doors open to you at all times. Tourists, locals, newcomers, enthusiasts or the simply curious… all are welcomed with the same enthusiasm!

To fully benefit from the experience, we have put together many activities and tours.
